Spectacular presentation of the latest innovations of Challenger for Europe made the American Corporation AGCO in Halle, Germany.
During a major press conference attended by 70 journalists from across Europe, Challenger representatives expressed positive expectations for sales of agricultural equipment. The decline in turnover of the company in 2009 has already overcome, the population needs food, which ensures the development of agriculture, the company commented. The company also said that this year Challenger offers unique new technological solutions to farmers across Europe.
Eric Raby Vice President & Managing Director Challenger, EAME:
We have some exciting new products – specifically 4 new products – one is the MT 700C and MT 800C track machines that are moving actively to the Bulgarian market. The other one is RoGator 600 self-propelled sprayer. And finally developing market in many parts of Europe, including Bulgaria is the new TarraGator 8333 – new radical design.
Challenger’s RoGator looks a little different, although it’s unusual in having a distinctly streamlined appearance. What chiefly sets it apart, says Challenger, is the single-beam chassis which allows operators to alter the machine’s height and adjust track width hydraulically. Powered by a Sisu block, it shares the same cab as the company’s MT Series tractors, as well as a 40kph hydrostatic transmission designed to operate in a similar fashion to the CVTs used in Agco’s Vario-equipped tractor. The new RoGator adopts the same single-beam chassis for each of its three models.
The Challenger Terra-Gator 8333 is the world’s first specialist application vehicle to benefit from Agco’s renowned continuously variable transmission (CVT). This industry-leading design, at work in more than 100,000 vehicles, provides ultimate control, efficiency, and lower running costs. In short, the TG 8333 is capable of spreading more volume over a larger area, faster and with more precision than ever before. Operators are cosseted in supreme comfort, able to work for long hours in complete control.
